UofU Tanner Humanities Building

Summary

This 55,000 square foot facility located on the University of Utah’s 215 Central Campus Drive serves as the hub for professional meeting and conference spaces to cultivate close relationships with the College of Humanities, and other colleges, centers, departments, and programs within its central location. In addition, the building is home to the Departments of History and Philosophy, the College’s International, Asian, Latin American, Middle East and Peace and Conflict Studies Programs.

The civil site engineering by Meridian for this elegant building designed by CRSA included utility tunnel extensions, drainage facilities, LEED design and coordination with U of U utility operations to receive approvals for the new site utility connections. Meridian was responsible for the general layout upon the sloped site, grading, drainage systems, underground detention and retaining wall.
