The construction of the New Shoreline Middle School, led by Westland, is swiftly taking shape. Located at 1325 W 890 South, Provo, Utah, the growing community will serve grades 6 through 8 replacing Dixon Junior High built back in 1931. The new 179,000 square foot school project designed by CORE Architecture, formerly Curtis Minor, involves several site features provided by Meridian’s meticulous civil design team including site development, subsurface utilities, bus drop-off and pick-up lanes with student safety design. The site circulation, ingress, and egress, as well as thoughtfully planned parking lots, ADA ramps and pedestrian crossings offer convenience for all future visitors. Integration of site drainage, stormwater detention, plans for new public water, sewer and gas line extensions, city roadway redesign, storm drainage and irrigation line and well as west side site drainage. And let’s not forget the fantastic sports fields where students will unleash their athletic prowess and forge unforgettable memories.
Meridian also provided primary control network, ALTA, boundary and topographic surveys, setting of property corners, and subdivision platting for the design team’s reference. Shoreline makes a remarkable transformation as a place for students to grow in a modern learning environment. Constructed by Westland.
