Summary
This new 65,000 square foot resource center provides a secure access for a clinic, counseling and temporary living area. Located downtown at 131 East 700 South, the final product built by Okland Construction, serves a community of 200 women-only as a safe environment for shelter and self-repair. In addition, the upper-level separates staff offices for perfecting their administration.
As part of AJC architects design team, Meridian provided civil engineering for drainage and grading plans, utility plans including water and sewer, and site hydraulic analysis along with design for an on-site storm water retention basin to collect and infiltrate all onsite runoff. Construction period services and storm water pollution prevention plans were also included in the civil design scope.
