Summary
: This new multiuse elementary school building designed by the VCBO Architecture design team for Jordan School District provides a dynamic and engaging learning environment that promotes academic excellence for various learning styles with flexible learning spaces both indoors and outdoors. Located at 13922 South 4600 West, Herriman, Utah, within the newly built Overland residential neighborhood. The final product built by Bud Mahas Construction, serves as the Home of the magnificent Blue Jays for this new community.
This project began with survey services by Meridian Engineering for design purposes. The civil site work by Meridian included drainage and accessible grading plans, parking, bus and parent drop off pick up zones, playgrounds and play field design, sidewalk, curb and gutter, access roadway, utility plan tie-ins to the city including water, sewer, site balance, and storm water retention system. The design of a city roadway and city utility mainlines as well as Construction period services and erosion control plans were also included in the civil design scope.
