Summary

This two-story K-6 elementary replacement school designed by the VCBO Architecture team for Alpine School District is unique as it integrates with a 12,000 square foot space center. Located at 95 North 400 East Pleasant Grove, the final product built by Hogan Construction, serves a community of over 595 students from all over Utah offering an experience to learn about astronomy and other STEM-related curricula in an adventurous, futuristic facility.

To get started on the site, Meridian provided the ALTA/NSPS land title survey for the project. The civil site design work by Meridian included drainage and accessible grading plans, parking, drop off pick up zone, play field design, retaining walls, utility plan tie-ins including water and sewer, and site balance and drainage retention system. Construction period services and storm water pollution prevention plans were also included in the civil design scope.

Special Project Consideration: NetZero-ready with photovoltaic arrays and energy-efficient HVAC and lighting systems. A ground source heating system designed by Salt Lake-based VBFA offers flexible energy usage.
